Effective 22 August 2026. This policy describes local storage these pages use, the external font request, and what is absent: advertising and cross-site tracking. Schools and housing providers named in the notes publish their own documents, and those govern any enrolment you make with them.
In brief
This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no analytics that name you. It uses a small amount of local storage in your browser, plus a request to a font service. That is the list.
What sits on your device
Three items may be written to local storage. The first records that you dismissed the consent banner. The second holds a draft of the enquiry form while you type, so a mistyped address does not cost you the message. The third holds a local copy of the submitted enquiry after send, once the draft is cleared. All three stay on your device. None is sent to us as part of ordinary browsing.
Local storage is not a cookie in the strict sense, but it does the same job from where you sit, so we describe it here.
Strictly necessary serving
Delivering the pages requires the ordinary exchange with our host, including your IP address and the URL you asked for. That processing is necessary to serve and protect the site and does not rest on the banner.
Fonts
Typography loads from a third-party font service. That request discloses your IP address and basic technical data. If you block external fonts, the pages remain readable with a system face. Nothing essential depends on the download.
What is absent
No advertising pixels. No cross-site tracking. No behavioural profiles. No social embeds that call home from every page. Comments we quote arrived by email with permission.
Your controls
Clear site data in the browser to remove the consent record, any form draft and the local copy of a submitted enquiry. Blocking local storage is possible; the only visible result is a banner on each visit. Private windows discard these items when they close.

School sites, exam bodies and registers set their own cookies. When you follow a link, their rules apply. Reading a page here does not create a relationship with a provider we describe.
Host logs
The host keeps standard access logs: address, page, status, time, user agent. They exist to diagnose outages and block abuse. They are kept for a short operational period and are not joined to enquiry mail to build a reader file.
Browser signals
Because there is no advertising layer here, signals such as Do Not Track have nothing extra to switch off. Content blockers and strict cookie settings work normally. Nothing is hidden behind a wall.
Media on this host
Images are served from this domain. There are no embedded players, maps or timelines that would load third-party code. If an article ever needs an external embed, this policy will name it first.
A walk-through of a draft
Suppose you read the Monday note, dismiss the banner, start an enquiry and close the tab. Two items now sit locally: a short consent string, and a draft of the fields you filled. Nothing has reached the desk. If you return, the banner stays away and the draft is offered back. After you send, the draft is replaced by a local copy of that enquiry. Clearing site data removes all of it.
